VOLLEYBALL DEFEATS UMASS LOWELL 3-2 SATURDAY

SMITHFIELD, RI - Michelle Muniz tallied 24 kills and Vanessa Lavallee added 12 kills as the Bryant Volleyball team defeated UMass Lowell, 3-2.  Game scores were 30-21, 27-30, 30-19, 26-30, 15-12.  With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 19-8 on the season. 

In the fifth and deciding game, Bryant trailed 8-3 following the side change and bounced back to tie the game 10-10.  After pulling ahead 11-10, the Bulldogs would hold on for a 15-12 win in the final game to win the match 3-2.

Jessica Cegarra added 11 kills while Tiffany Garry had 60 assists. 

In the other match of the morning, Queens defeated CW Post 3-2.  Game scores were 30-32, 30-28, 30-28, 19-30, 15-7.  Karen Sauer had 14 kills for the Knights while Natalie Edwards had 11 kills.  Lauren Dunne had a game-best 28 kills for the Pioneers.
