SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Following its third-straight victory last weekend, the No. 24/25 Bryant University football team moved up one spot in the FCS Coaches' poll and cracked the Sports Network Top 25 for the first time in program history on Monday afternoon.
Off to its best start in Division I program history at 6-1, the Bulldogs moved from No. 25 to No. 24 in the coaches' poll and appeared at No. 25 in the Sports Network poll this week. It is the first time in program DI history the Black and Gold have been ranked in both polls and is the first time they have been ranked in back-to-back weeks in DI history.
Bryant will put its perfect conference record on the line this week as it welcomes Central Connecticut to Bulldog Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for noon and the game will be aired nationally on ESPN3.
