As a senior (2020-21)
Enjoyed a historical breakout season appearing and starting in all 21 games … Earned First Team All-NEC honors … Led the NEC in points per game (15.9) and rebounds per game (9.1) … Erupted for 29 points, 16 rebounds, and three blocks at Iona (12/4) shooting over 50% from the field (12-23) … Posted a career-best 30 points against Saint Francis U (1/14) shooting 77.8 percent from the field (14-18) … Tied Siamone Bennet ’11 in Bryant’s Division I single-game record book with seven blocks against St. Francis Brooklyn (12/8) which also helped the Bulldogs tie the team single-game block record with nine … Concluded the season with nine double-doubles … Broke the Division I record for most made field goals in a single-game at Saint Francis U (1/14) with 14 … First Bulldog to earn three-consecutive NEC Player of the Week honors.
As a junior (2019-20)
Appeared and started in all 30 games for the Black and Gold … Ranked second on the team averaging 9.8 points per game … Netted a career-high 23 points, her first 20+ point game of her career, with a career-best 11-of-12 from the stripe in the longest game of her career (38 minutes) against Albany on Dec. 20 … Blocked a career-high of four shots in both meetings with St. Francis Brooklyn … Posted a season-high and matched her career-best with 14 rebounds against Sacred Heart (March 2) … Led the Bulldogs with 24 blocks … Named NEC Prime Performer on two occasions.
As a sophomore (2018-19): Appeared in 21 games this season for the Bulldogs … Scored 10 points on 5-of-8 shooting to go with five rebounds at UNH on Nov. 25 … Posted career-highs of 15 points and 7 field goals made in a win at Mount St. Mary’s on Jan. 12 … Scored 10 points in back-to-back games against Wagner and St. Francis Brooklyn … Grabbed 15 total rebounds in those two games on Feb. 25 and Mar. 2 … Dished out her career-high four assists against Wagner on Mar. 7.
As a freshman (2017-18): Appeared in 25 games for the Bulldogs … Averaged 9.6 minutes, 2.8 points, and 3.2 rebounds per game … Recorded her first double-double and career-best stat with 12 points and 14 rebounds vs. Mount St. Mary’s.
Before Bryant: Four-year varsity center at Beekmantown High School … Also lettered in volleyball and track and field … Helped lead her team to three-straight Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Championships, finishing as co-champions in her sophomore and junior seasons … She was also a part of three-straight CVAC and Section VII Championships on the varsity volleyball team, as well as winning three conference titles on the track and field team … She enters her senior year as a two-time first-team all-star selection in both volleyball and basketball … A member of the Chorus and Band New York State School Music Association and high-honor roll student.
Personal: Daughter of John and Gail Bjelko, Brooke was born on March 19, 1999. She has two sisters Chelsea and Kaitlyn.
