As a freshman: Appeared in 26 games, earning 20 starts at second base during her rookie season in Smithfield … Posted a .250 batting average (sixth-best on Bryant) collecting 11 hits, including three doubles and a triple to go along with six RBI and eight runs scored … Finished the year with a .340 on-base percentage, drawing six walks on the season … Registered three multi-hit games in 2013, including a 2-for-3 afternoon with a pair of RBI and a run scored on April 24 at Brown.
Before Bryant: Ogata was the everyday starter at second base for the Foothill H.S. softball team since her sophomore season. Hailing from Tustin, Calif., Ogata most recently was named to the Century League's All-Second team after a strong junior campaign. In the offseason, Ogata participated with the OC Elite in southern California.
