Nick Schmidt joined the Bryant staff in June 2024 and will be in his first season on staff in 2024-25.
Schmidt comes from a basketball background as his father, Mark, has spent the last 17 seasons as the head coach at St. Bonaventure. A 2018 graduate of Alfred University, Schmidt averaged 7.5 ppg over his 98-game career. Schmidt began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at St. Bonaventure before spending the 2020-21 season at Catholic U. He then headed to Putnam Science Academy for the 2021-22 academic year and has served as a head coach of the varsity team and an assistant with the prep squad, helping PSA win a national championship in 2022.
