As a junior: Drafted in the 6th round (185th overall) by the Seattle Mariners in the MLB Amateur Draft ... Made his professional debut on June 21st ... Named the NEC Pitcher of the Year ... First Team All-NEC ... Second Team All-New England ... Bryant's Friday starter, made 15 appearances and 14 starts ... Went 7-3 with a 3.24 ERA in a staff-high 80.2 innings ... Allowed just 61 hits, walked 38 and struck out 50 ... Teams hit .207 against him and he allowed just nine extra-base hits and no home runs ... Before Bryant: A four-year varsity letterwinner in baseball and basketball at Newtown High School in Connecticut … Team captain in both sports as a junior and a senior … Led team to SWC Championship in 2012, earning first team all-state honors along the way ... Also earned first team all-league and was selected to play in the senior all-star game ...
