VOLLEYBALL DEFEATED BY PROVIDENCE IN ITS SECOND MATCH OF OCEAN STATE CUP

KINGSTON, R.I.- The Bryant University women's volleyball team fell to Providence, 3-1, in its second match of the Ocean State Cup Saturday, Sept. 5 at Keaney Gymnasium.

The Bulldogs
(2-4) were downed in set one before outlasting the Friars (4-1) in a gritty second set. Providence controlled the last two sets to come away with victory.

Kaitlin Curran
posted a double-double with a game-high 14 kills and 12 digs, building on her outstanding start to the 2026 season. Brookelyn Talmadge registered a season-high 10 kills on a .615 hitting percentage while Carrinna Barron tallied 20 digs.

QUOTE FROM HEAD COACH THERESA GARLACY:
"Despite a multitude of unforced errors and mistakes on our part, we still stayed in it with Providence. They are a big, strong team. We made a lot of first-contact errors, which is not like us, and Providence earned the win because of it. Hannah Jackson continues to be a force for us, hitting from either pin. Carrina Barron was phenomenal defensively for us today."
