SMITHFIELD, R.I. — Bryant University women's rowing has welcomed a new graduate assistant to its coaching staff, adding a former collegiate rower and experienced coach to the Bulldogs' program.

Campbell Leid began at the University of Virginia under renowned head coach Kevin Sauer. Her collegiate career was cut short by a medical retirement during her freshman fall.

In 2021, Campbell became a Level 2 USRowing-certified coach and made her coaching debut with Tempe Junior Crew.
"It was one of the most impactful experiences of my entire rowing journey, witnessing athletes experience a safe space, a welcoming community and a sport that provides a healthy outlet and escape," said Campbell.

At Arizona State, she was heavily involved in both athletics and student leadership. She served as Executive Vice President of the Sports Business Association during the 2024-25 academic year and as President of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

"Coach Reifsnyder has such a strong vision and direction for where the program is headed, and he is equipped with such a depth of knowledge and passion for the sport," Campbell said. "I am so excited to join the Bryant women's rowing staff. There is so much possibility and opportunity to grow and scale, competing at the highest level of our sport."
