SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant women's soccer team announced its 16-game schedule for the fall on Friday afternoon.
The Bulldogs are coming off a season in which they posted a 5-5-8 overall record and a 2-2-4 mark in America East play. Bryant advanced to the America East Semifinals for the first time since joining the league after a scintillating quarterfinal at UMass Lowell in which the Black and Gold advanced in penalties.
Schedule Highlights
- Bryant's 16-game slate will feature nine home games and seven road contests.
- The Bulldogs will open the season with three-straight home games for the first time since 2018.
- Bryant will welcome Boston U to Smithfield for the first time in program history.
- The Black and Gold's four conference home games will come against NJIT, Vermont, three-time defending champion Maine and UMBC.
Bryant will open its season with three-straight games in Smithfield, starting with Stonehill (Aug. 16) and Siena (Aug. 23). It'll mark the third-straight year that the Bulldogs will face the Skyhawks and Saints to open the year. Bryant will then host former NEC foe Central Connecticut on August 27, marking the first time since 2018 that the Bulldogs will play three-straight home games to start the year.
The Bulldogs' first road test will come at Merrimack (Aug. 30) before Bryant returns to Beirne Stadium on September 3 to face in-state rival Rhode Island. A trip to New Haven (sept. 6) precedes the Bulldogs welcoming regional power Boston U on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 1:00 p.m. It'll be the third meeting between the programs, and the first in Smithfield.
Bryant will play its next three games on the road, visiting Dartmouth on Sept. 20 before opening America East play with back-to-back road games at Binghamton (Sept. 27) and New Hampshire (Oct. 1).
The Bulldogs host their first America East game on Oct. 4 when NJIT comes to Smithfield and follow that up with a home game vs Vermont on Oct. 11.
After a trip to UAlbany on Oct. 18, Bryant will welcome three-time defending America East Champion Maine to Beirne Stadium on Thursday, Oct. 22 for a 7:00 p.m. start. The Bulldogs will close out their only double-home weekend of conference play with UMBC on Sunday, Oct. 25. Bryant closes the regular season on November 1 with a quarterfinal rematch with UMass Lowell. It'll mark the fourth-straight year that the Bulldogs and River Hawks will meet in the regular season finale.
