Teagan Thompson's two-run home run in the top of the seventh tied the game but Providence walked it off in the bottom of the eighth to earn a 6-5 win over the Bryant softball team on Wednesday.

- Bryce Clendenin hit a lead-off double in the top of the eighth, but was unable to score, and then the Friars knocked a walk-off single in the bottom of the eighth.
How it Happened
- Arriana Williams walked on the first at bat of the game, which was followed by a single up the middle from Alissa West. Thompson reached on a fielder's choice, and then Williams scored on a throwing error from the Friars (1-0) in the top of the first inning.
- In the bottom of the first, the Friars hit a three-run home run to take the lead (3-1).
- PC scored a run on a two-out RBI-single in the bottom of the second (4-1).
- In the bottom of the fourth, PC hit a lead-off solo home run (5-1).
- Gabriella Gesualdo reached on a fielder's choice, then stole second. Laniya Lewis singled and also stole second. Williams knocked an RBI single, and then Lewis scored on an error (5-3). Then, on the final out of the inning, Thompson launched a two-run home run, tying the game at five (5-5), in the top of the seventh.
- The Friars hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the eighth, ending the game (6-5).
