Key Moment
- Irizarry broke a 4-4 tie with a three-run triple in the bottom of the sixth.
How it Happened
- Bryant grabbed the lead in the second on a sac fly from Brandyn Durand. Dylan Prince and Gavin Greger opened the inning with singles and Durand followed with a fly ball to center for the RBI.
- Dartmouth grabbed the lead with three unearned runs in the top of the third. An infield error started the inning and was followed by a wild pitch and fly out to put the runner at third. Wensley then made a great diving play at first but his throw home was late, tying the game. Milo Suarez then ripped a two-out, two-run double to make it 3-1.
- The Black and Gold retook the lead with three runs in the bottom of the fourth. An infield single and a throwing error put runners on second and third and Greger brought in the first run with a bloop double to left field. Irizarry then tied the game with a sac fly and Wensley made it 4-3 as his flare to left dropped inside the line for an RBI double.
- Dartmouth was able to tie the game with a two-out single in the fifth. Lewis, however, got a big strikeout to strand the bases loaded.
- Bryant would break the tie with four runs in the sixth. An HBP and two walks loaded the bases and Irizarry cleared them with a triple into the left field corner to make it 7-4. Wensley then scored Irizarry with a sac fly to put Bryant up four.
- The Big Green would answer with two runs in the top of the seventh to make it 8-6. Zev Salsberg kept it at two as he entered and induced an inning-ending 6-4-3 double play.
- Bryant added insurance runs in the seventh and eighth. In the seventh, Saul doubled and came around to score on a fielder's choice from Greger. In the eighth, Saul doubled off the glove of the third baseman to bring home a run.
