NEWARK, DE. – The Bryant University softball team defeated Le Moyne 19-11 and Delaware 6-3 at the Blue Hen Invitational on Saturday.
The Bulldogs tied the DI program record for most runs in a game with 19.
Bryce Clendenin and
Gabriella Gesualdo both had four RBI.
Teagan Thompson hit her first career home run in the victory over Delaware, Maddy Whacter dealt her third complete game of the season, and
Arriana Williams knocked an RBI to break the 3-3 tie in the top of the eighth.

How it Happened (GM1)
- Arriana Williams drew a one-out walk, followed by an Alissa West single. West then stole second, and Teagan Thompson was walked. This led to a Bryce Clendeinin RBI-single, and then Amira Rainer was HBP with the bases loaded, giving Bryant a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.
- The Bulldogs would score on a passed ball, and then Gabriella Gesualdo brought home two on a single (4-0). Bryant scored nine on an error, West single, Thompson single, Clendenin double, and another Gesualdo double for 13 runs in the bottom of the first inning (13-0).
- The Dolphins scored two runs on an error and a single in the top of the second inning (13-2).
- In the top of the third inning, Le Moyne tallied a single and a three-run home run to cut the Bulldogs' lead to seven (13-6).
- Bryant countered by drawing two walks, scoring on a wild pitch, an error, and an RBI-single from Ella Kolenko (16-6) in the bottom of the third inning.
- With two outs in the top of the fifth inning, the Dolphins scored five runs on three doubles and a single (16-11).
- Kolenko and Ginny Gex posted RBI singles in the bottom of the fifth inning (18-11).

- Williams drew a walk to begin the top of the fourth and then reached second on an error. Thompson then went up to the plate and knocked a two-run home run to right-center. Clendenin was HBP and then was brought home on an Alissa West RBI-double (3-1).
- The Blue Hens tied the game at three off of two RBI-singles (3-3).
- In the top of the eighth inning, Williams hit an RBI-single to gain a 4-3 lead, this was followed by Thompson, who hit a ball to right field, bringing home two (6-3).
- Wachter got two fly outs to start the bottom of the eighth, then after a single, struck out the final batter for the Bulldogs 6-3 win.
