- Timofei Rudovskii posted his second-straight 20-point effort on Thursday vs UMBC, finishing with 22 points on 8-of-17 shooting from the field and 6-of-11 from three.
- He joins Brandon Carroll, Alex Francis, Joe Kasperzyk and Nisre Zouzoua as the only freshmen in DI program history to post back-to-back 20-point games.
FIVE MORE THINGS TO KNOW
- Timofei Rudovskii leads the team with 12.6 ppg and is averaging 15.0 ppg in America East play. Rudovskii is shooting 32-of-75 (42.6 percent) from three over his last 13 games.
- Aaron Davis III continued his strong play in a starting role on Thursday, scoring 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting. He is now averaging 14.5 ppg over his last eight (all starts) and shooting 29-of-58 (50.0 percent) from three in those games.
- Ashley Sims II posted a season-high 16 points vs UMBC, including six key free throws in the final minute of overtime. Sims entered the UMBC game just 5-of-20 from the line on the year but hit 6-of-8 to close out the victory. He is averaging 10.3 ppg and 5.8 rpg in America East play.
