SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's basketball team fell to NJIT 78-65 at the Chace Athletic Center on Saturday.

Maranda Nyborg led the Black and Gold with 19 points, and Izzy Adams hauled in a career-high 11 rebounds in the loss.

• Both teams recorded nine to end the first quarter, with Abbey Lindsey tallying four points and Martina Boba hitting a wing three-pointer (20-14).
• NJIT earned a slight 14-12 edge, resulting in a 34-26 deficit at the 4:22 mark of the second quarter. Nia Scott led the way with four points for Bryant.
• The Bulldogs outscored the Highlanders 8-5 to close the first half, creating a 39-34 lead for NJIT at the end of the half. Maranda Nyborg recorded five of the eight points, including an and-one layup.
• The Black and Gold began the first three minutes of the second half on a 9-6 run, shrinking the lead to two (45-43). Mimi Rubino scored five. NJIT countered with a 5-0 run for the next two minutes, increasing their lead to seven (50-43) at the media timeout.
