BRYANT WOMEN'S SOCCER ENDS SCORELESS AGAINST MERRIMACK

SMITHFIELD, R.I. — The Bryant University women's soccer team played Merrimack College to a scoreless draw Sunday afternoon at Beirne Stadium.

Coach Bigg's Comments:
"In the first half, we were not as sharp as we have been in possession, but defended well," Coach Biggs said.
 "In the second half, we were better with the ball and created enough good chances to feel like we should have scored the go ahead goal.  Our defense again held strong and certainly earned the shutout for our efforts."
 
STATS
After a hard-fought battle, the Bulldogs and the Warriors were unable to score. The Bulldogs outshot the Warriors 14-10, with Caitlin Forshay and Madison Luke each recording five shots. Merrimack was led offensively by Kyra Whitman, Daniela Almeida and Isabella Keogh, who each tallied two shots.

Goalkeepers Kaitlyn Brewi (Merrimack) and Selena Negron (Bryant) combined for six saves in the contest.

Freshman Alisyn Mulholland made her first career start for the Bulldogs. Merrimack used 10 players off the bench and made 26 total substitutions.
