2025 WOMEN'S SOCCER PREVIEW

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – - The Bryant University women's soccer team is set to open its 2025 season on Sunday, August 17th, at Stonehill College.

Bryant is coming off a season in which it finished 5-9-3 overall and 3-4-1 in America East play. The Bulldogs qualified for the America East Tournament for the first time in program history.

"From our very first practice, it was clear that all of the players had continued to put in a great deal of work over the summer, and we are all excited for the season to begin," said Coach Biggs.

"The players have built a strong foundation with their chemistry and the practices and scrimmages have shown that we ready to attack and defend at a high level."

Forwards:

  • Bryant lost its top three scorers from a season ago but does return five players that finished with 4+ points.

  • Madison Luke is returning for her senior season. She started all 18 games and played the full 90 minutes on six occasions in 2024, recording one goal and a career high of four assists.

  • Sophomore Caitlin Forshay will also return and look to help on offense. Forshay was an America East All-Rookie team selection last year after she recorded all her points in conference play — including a goal in the conference tournament.

  • Samantha Zaslaw, who appeared in all 18 games, returns for her junior season. She scored two goals last year, including the game winner against NJIT.

  • Ava Feeley joined the Bulldogs last season after spending her freshman year at Boston College. She looks to build on the three points she recorded last year.

  • Alison Mokriski appeared in 14 games for the Black and Gold. She had one goal last season.

  • Bryant will also welcome back Zoe Wood. (2 games)

  • The Bulldogs bolstered the attack with the addition of Nyema Prentice-Whyte, a sophomore transfer from the University of Manitoba. She was named Canada West Prairie Rookie of the Year after notching eight goals.

Midfielders:

  • Returning to the pitch is senior Emily Supple. Supple started all 18 games and scored two goals in the 2024 season. She was also named as one of the 17 midfielders to watch by the New England Soccer Journal.

  • Joining her is senior Jennah Quill. She scored one goal and recorded eight shots last season.

  • Julia Salina (7 games) also returns for the Black and Gold.

  • Newcomer Lucia Edelstein will join the midfield for her freshman season.

Defense:

  • Kelsie Wandyes started all 18 games for the Black and Gold, including 13 full 90-minute appearances. She scored her first career goal against Maine (Oct. 6). New England Soccer Journal recognized her as one of the 20 key returners to watch on defense.

  • Junior Colleen Ardolino returns to the fullback position. She appeared in 14 games for the Black and Gold, making 13 starts.

  • Junior Ashley Cunningham is back and healthy after a season-ending injury and will also be joined by senior Naomi Sadler. She made 12 appearances for Bryant, including six starts.

  • Sophomore Whitney Vaillant had two goals prior to her season ending injury last October. She is targeting a return in late September/ early October.

  • Goalkeepers Selena Negron and Shannon Mejia both return after splitting time for the Bulldogs last year. They combined to post a 1.39 GAA and an .803 save percentage.
