Kokoski adds Michael Murphy to coaching staff

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Head coach Lynne-Ann Kokoski announced the addition of Michael Murphy to the coaching staff for the upcoming 2025-26 season.

Coach Kokoski said, "I'm excited to have Mike on board at Bryant - he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our program from both the college men's and women's side that I believe will help us continue to grow and move this program forward".

Murphy comes to Smithfield from the Ragin' Cajuns, where he spent 11 seasons (2014-25) as the team's Director of Basketball Operations. Before his time at Louisiana, he spent a year with Lafayette (2013-14).

Murphy would spend ten years as the women's basketball coach at Troy University (2002-12), before that he spent seven years (1995-2002) on Alabama's staff, where he served both as an assistant and a Director of Basketball Operations.  He is one of a select handful of coaches in the country that has been involved in the NCAA women's tournament, men's tournament, WNIT, NIT, and the NAIA National men's tournament as a coach.
