LINCOLN, R.I. – Junior Dylan Gallagher of Bryant men's golf was one of five athletes to advance from the U.S. Open local qualifier hosted at Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln, R.I. on Tuesday. 

Gallagher earned co-medalist honors in a field of 88, with a four-under-par 68. He will advance to 36-hole Final Qualifying in early June to compete for a spot in the 125th U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club outside Pittsburgh. 

Amateurgolf.com describes the scores of this competition as "one of the most tightly bunched leaderboards of the season."

Gallagher is projected to compete on Monday, June 2nd at Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit, New Jersey at the 125th U.S. Open Final Qualifying.
