BRENTWOOD, T.N. –
Matthew Young was named the OVC co-golfer of the week, announced by the conference on Thursday afternoon.
This is the first time a Bulldog has received the award this season.
Young finished in 1
st place, leading all golfers with a score of -4 at the Shark Invitational this week. This was Young's best tournament in his career at Bryant. He had scores of (71-67-68) to finish at 206 (-4) at the tournament. He was one of two golfers to finish the event under par.
As a team, Bryant finished in second place with a score of +9. It came down to a five-man team playoff as they fell to Northern Colorado.
The Bulldogs return for the OVC Championship held April 26-29 at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex at Purdue in West Lafayette, IN.
