Box Score VESTAL, N.Y. – The Bryant baseball team erased a 4-0 deficit with six runs in each of the eighth and ninth innings to earn a 12-4 victory over Binghamton on a cold and rainy Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs improve to 14-15-1 overall and 4-4 in the America East with the win. Bryant picks up its first conference series victory of the season and will go for the series sweep on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
Bryant trailed 4-0 and had mustered just two hits through the first seven innings on Saturday. The Bulldogs, however, opened the eighth with six-straight hits to take a 5-4 lead and went on to score six times in each of their final two at-bats.
Gavin Noriega's two-run double tied the game, while
Drew Wyers' double gave Bryant the lead.
Noriega finished 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored, while
Gavin Greger collected three hits.
Charlie Saul doubled home two in the eighth and homered in the ninth to finish with three RBI.
Owen Birchard earned his first-career win, tossing 1.2 scoreless innings of relief.
Landon White struck out five over the final two innings to earn the save.

How it Happened
- Binghamton plated the first run of the game in the fifth as a two-out walk extended the inning. Matt Bolton then slapped a single through the left side to make it 1-0.
- The Bearcats then manufactured a big inning in the sixth, plating three runs to take a 4-0 lead. A single and a double opened the inning against reliever Mark Scamardella. A ground out to short brought in the first run and a single to right made it 3-0. A sac fly to center made it 4-0.
- Limited to just two hits through the first seven innings, the first six Bulldogs collected hits to open the eighth and give Bryant a 5-4 lead. Greger singled and Jacob Gaudreau doubled to send Binghamton to the bullpen. Saul then greeted the reliever with a two-run double down the right field line. After a Zac Zyons single, Noriega ripped the first pitch he saw into right center for a game-tying two-run double. Wyers made it six straight hits as he doubled inside the third base bag to give Bryant a 5-4 lead. Wyers would eventually come around to score on a wild pitch to make it 6-4.
- Bryant then plated six more runs in the top of the ninth to put the game away. Saul opened the inning by golfing a 1-2 pitch over the left field wall for his third homer. Matt D'Amato drew a bases-loaded walk to bring in a run and Pat D'Amico cleared the bases with a three-run double to center. Greger's RBI single through the right side closed the scoring.
