How it Happened
- Makenna Coleman drew a lead-off walk, followed by consecutive singles from Laniya Lewis and Bryce Clendenin at the top of the first inning. The Bulldogs then scored four runs on a Sam Rohwer RBI-single, a ground out, Meaghan Houk sac-fly, and a McKenzie McAloon RBI-single (4-0).
- In the bottom of the second inning, the Spartans scored three runs off two RBI-singles, and a bases loaded walk (4-3).
- In the bottom of the third inning, Upstate took the lead, tallying two runs on a single and sac-fly (5-4).
- The Spartans tallied three runs on a double, triple, and sac-fly in the bottom of the fourth inning (8-4).
