SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant baseball team was swept in a doubleheader on Sunday, falling to Brown 7-4 and 7-6.
The Bulldogs fall to 7-10-1 overall with the two losses. Bryant continues its homestand on Tuesday as it hosts Harvard at 3:00 p.m.
On Sunday, Brown erased a 3-0 deficit with a four-run fourth and then broke a 4-4 tie with three runs in its final two at-bats to win game one. In game two, Gunner Boree hit a three-run home run with two outs in the top of the ninth to give the Bears a 7-6 lead.

- Brown broke a 4-4 tie in the sixth as Nathan Brasher's fly ball to shallow right alluded a diving Charlie Saul and resulted in an RBI triple.
How it Happened
- The Bulldogs had a strangle hold on the game early, building a 3-0 lead behind starter Clay Robbins.
- Noriega drove in the first run of the game with a ground out in the first and Zyons made it 3-0 with a bloop two-run single in the third.
- Robbins, meanwhile, struck out six of the first seven batters he faced through three scoreless innings.
- The wheels came off in the fourth, however, as the Bears scored four runs on five hits. Jack Edmunds had the big hit of the inning with a two-run home run to left.
- Bryant fought back to tie it in the fifth as the Bears threw the ball away at home on a fly out to left field.
- In the top of the sixth, Cam LaGrassa worked a two-out walk and then raced around to score from first as Brasher's bloop bounded away from Saul.
- Brown added two more insurance runs in the seventh following a two-out throwing error.
- The first two batters in the Bryant seventh singled but two strikeouts and a foul pop followed.

How it Happened
- Brown took the lead with two runs in the second and two more in the third. In the second, the Bears clubbed three-straight doubles to produce two runs. Mika Petersen hit a two-run home run to make it 4-0 in the third.
- Cam Papetti brought some life to a listless Bulldogs team with a great defensive play in the fourth. He raced to the backstop and made a sliding catch on a popped up bunt. Then, from his knees, fired to second to get the runner tagging from first.
- Bryant responded by scoring its first run of the game in the bottom of the inning. Greger brought home the run with a single through the right side.
- The Bulldogs added a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth. Bryant loaded the bases with no outs and Aleksei Goldhill made it 4-2 with a sac fly. Noriega made it 4-3 with a single to center.
- Bryant, however, would leave the bases loaded in the sixth and seventh innings.
- In the eighth, however, Papetti and Saul, batting 8-9, both reached to start the inning. They were on second and third with two outs when Noriega hit a chopper to second. Noriega raced down the first base line and dove head first, beating the throw. Papetti and Saul both scored on the play to make it 5-4. Greger added an insurance run with a single through the left side to make it 6-4.
- Brown rallied in the top of the ninth, taking a 7-6 lead on a three-run home run from Boree.
