Scott dominates in home win versus UMass Lowell

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Nia Scott recorded a double-double, tallying 15 points and 14 rebounds in the Bryant University women's basketball team's 64-52 home victory against UMass Lowell.
 
Mimi Rubino scored 13 points, hitting three from deep in the second consecutive game, and Ali Brigham posted 12 points and eight rebounds.

How it Happened
  • It was closely contested to begin the game with the Bulldogs earning a slight 7-6 edge at the media timeout. Scott had five of the Black and Golds' points.
  • Bryant went on an 11-8 run to close the first quarter, resulting in an 18-14 lead after one. Rubino hit one from deep and Breezie Williams had four during the run.
  • UML countered to begin the second quarter recording an 8-4 run, tying the game at 22 with five minutes left in the first half.
  • The Bulldogs closed the half holding the RiverHawks to two points and scoring eight of their own (30-24). Scott had 13 points at halftime.
