How it Happened

• It was a defensive battle to start the game, with the Bulldogs earning a slight 7-3 edge in the game's first six minutes. Bryant hit a corner three from Izzy Adams off a dish from Mia Mancini bringing the game to a media timeout.
• The Black and Gold would go scoreless for the remainder of the quarter, while the Crusaders posted seven, creating a three-point deficit after the first quarter (10-7).
• The Bulldogs' defense would then hold strong, keeping HC from scoring and recording six points. Adams hit her second three of the half (13-10).
•  Both teams continued to struggle offensively, with the Bulldogs scoring two more and HC with five, giving Bryant a one-point lead at halftime. Mimi Rubino hit a layup at the buzzer to end the half (15-14).
• The Bulldogs would jump out to a 7-0 run to begin the third quarter, capped off by a Mia Mancini corner three, forcing a Crusaders timeout (22-14).
