BOSTON - Bryant men's basketball freshman Ty Tabales was named the America East Rookie of the Week on Monday morning.

The third weekly honor of the season for Tabales comes following a 13-point, 11-assist double-double in Bryant's victory over Worcester State on Sunday. 

Tabales' first-career double-double included some history as the 11 assists are the most by a freshman in a single game in program history. He now has 6+ assists in four games this season and currently averages 3.5 apg. 

Bryant opens America East play on Saturday (Jan. 3) when it visits Maine. Tip is set for 2:00 p.m.
