BULLDOGS FALL TO HIGH POINT ON MONDAY NIGHT

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Bryant men's basketball team fell to High Point, 93-47, on Monday night at the Qubein Center.
 
With the loss, the Bulldogs fall to 3-10 on the year. Bryant wraps up non-conference play on Sunday, December 28, welcoming Worcester State to the Chace Athletic Center.
 
On Monday, High Point turned 22 Bryant turnovers into 39 points in the victory. The Panthers finished the game shooting 60 percent (31-of-51) from the field.
 
Quincy Allen led Bryant with 14 points, while Ashley Sims added eight points, three rebounds and two blocks.

How it Happened
  • Bryant opened the game with a pair of good defensive possessions, with the first leading to a Rudovskii transition triple for the games' first points.
  • High Point, however, scored the next nine, including 5-of-5 from the free throw line, to take the lead at the under-16.
  • The Panthers' defensive pressure helped open the game up early as the Bulldogs turned the ball over eight times in the first eight minutes. High Point scored 15 points off of those miscues to take a 22-7 lead.
  • HPU would continue to put the pressure on the Black and Gold, hitting 16-of-24 from the field, 5-of-9 from three and 16-of-18 from the line in the first 20 minutes.
