VESTAL, N.Y. – The Bryant volleyball team picked up a massive road win at Binghamton on Friday night, defeating the Bearcats in a five-set thriller.

. Madison Keem and Melis Isik stepped in to setter and did an awesome job spreading the offense and getting the middles the ball. Our outsides played outstanding defense which allowed a fast tempo offense."
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- SET 1 – The Bulldogs took the first set 25-20. The turning point came in the middle stages of the set, going on an impressive 5-0 run to take the 19-14 lead, sparked by a pair of kills from Brookelyn Talmadge, kills from Kaitlin Curran and Melis Isik, and an ace from Arianna Ugolini. Binghamton responded by winning the next three points to trail 19-17. Bryant polished off the first set by going on a 6-3 run, highlighted by a pair of kills from Ugolini and Curran, and another from Ruth Ochelli.
- SET 2 – The momentum from the previous set carried over into the second, with Bryant winning the second set 25-21. The Bulldogs were forced to play from behind, trailing 19-15. Bryant responded with a 4-0 run to tie the score at nineteen a piece, led by kills from Isik and Talmadge and a combined block by Curran and Talmadge. The Bulldogs then turned on the jets and went on a 6-2 run to close out the set, highlighted by a pair of kills from Ugolini, and Talmadge and Curran each chipping in with a kill.
- SET 3 – Binghamton stayed alive by winning the third set 25-18. Bryant started off the set strong by going on a 12-9 run, led by four kills from Ochelli. The Bearcats countered with an impressive 12-5 run to take a commanding 21-14 lead. Bryant trimmed the deficit to 21-18 as Talmadge pounded a pair of kills and Ugolini and Curran each added one, but it wasn't enough to slow down Binghamton.
- SET 4 – The Bearcats continued to thrive with their backs against the wall, taking the fourth set 25-15 and forcing a deciding fifth set. Binghamton was in control for the entire set, cruising out to a 13-8 lead. Bryant stayed alive by utilizing kills from Ochelli, Talmadge, and London Hunt to cut the deficit to 18-13. The Bearcats polished off the set with a 7-2 run to win the fourth set.
- SET 5 – The Bulldogs bounced back from the previous two sets to win the fifth set 15-8 and come away with an impressive road victory. Bryant pulled in front 10-6 by utilizing six combine kills from Ugolini and Ochelli. They followed that up with a 5-2 run to take home the fifth set. Ochelli and Ugolini continued to be the engines for the Bulldog offense, with Ochelli tallying back-to-back kills and Ugolini closing out the match with a kill and an ace.
