FIVE BULLDOGS NAMED TO ALL-CAA TEAM

RICHMOND, VA. - Five members of the Bryant University football team were named All-CAA by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.

Michael Otty earned first-team honors, Elijah Elliott and Keylijah Williams made the second-team, and Jon Fagley and Brandon Perkins earned third-team honors.

This is the third season in a row that Otty has earned postseason honors, and the first time in his career that he has made the first team. Otty tallied 41 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, and five sacks. He also had two forced fumbles and one block. Otty's mark of 17 tackles for loss led the conference and is tied for the sixth most in DI program history with Thomas Costigan and Jeff Covitz. He ends his career with 38.5 total TFLs, which is fifth in DI program history. Otty had a TFL in ten games this year and multiple in six games, including a career-high four versus Maine. Otty had at least two tackles in every game this season, and also blocked the potential game-tying kick against UAlbany, giving the Bulldogs their first CAA win since being a part of the conference.

Elliott established himself as the workhorse this season in the backfield for the Bulldogs. He finished the year with 805 yards on the ground, ranking fourth in the CAA. He had 1,185 total yards and 14 total touchdowns. He tallied 12 touchdowns on the ground, which is third most in DI program history and ranked fourth in the conference.
 
Williams was named to the second team for the first time in his career. Williams tallied 722 return yards, which led the conference and tied the longest return in DI program history with a 100-yard return for a touchdown against Campbell. This was his second career kickoff return for a touchdown. He averaged 24.9 yards per return. This is his second consecutive season of 20+ yards per return and averaged 60.2 return yards per game, also for the second straight season. 
 
Fagley was named to the third time; this is the first postseason honor of his career. Fagley played in 11 games for the Black and Gold on the offensive line primarily as the team's center. He helped the team average 325 yards of total offense, marking the fifth consecutive season the Bulldogs have averaged 300+ yards.
 
Perkins earned a spot on the third team in his first season with the Black and Gold. Perkins had four games of 10+ tackles, including a career-high 14 in the win against UMass.  He was named the Co-CAA Defensive Player of the Week and the Stats Perform Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts. He ended the season with 85 tackles and two tackles for loss in ten games played.

Lonnie Rice earned honorable mentions, after he posted a career-high 92 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks. Rice recorded four games of 10+ tackles, including a season-high 12 tackles against Towson.
