Nia Scott of the Bryant University women's basketball team was named the Co-America East Player of the Week by the organization on Monday afternoon.
Scott averaged 20.5 points, 12 rebounds, and four assists as the Bulldogs went 2-0 this week and are off to the best start in DI program history at 6-0. She tallied a 25-point and 28-rebound double-double in the victory against Merrimack. This was the fourth time in DI program history that someone has tallied 25+ points and 18+ rebounds. This is also just the third time this season that someone has recorded these stats in the country.
Scott has three double-doubles this season and is averaging a double-double on the year with 13.7 points and 11.2 rebounds per game. This is the second time in her career that Scott has earned AE Player of the Week.
