Box Score VALPARAISO, IND. – Valparaiso used a strong second half to erase an eight-point deficit and earn a 68-50 victory over the Bryant men's basketball team on Sunday afternoon at The ARC.
With the loss, the Bulldogs fall to 1-3 on the year. Bryant will face Virginia Tech on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.
On Sunday, Bryant built a 30-22 halftime lead but shot just 8-of-31 from the field in the second half and were outscored 46-20.
Timofei Rudovskii was the only Bulldog in double figures, finishing with 13.

- The Bulldogs pulled within six with 9:36 remaining but the Beacons answered with the next seven points to pull away.
How it Happened
- Bryant got off to a slow start offensively on Sunday, starting the game 1-of-12 from the field over the first 10 minutes of the game. Valpo took advantage and led 12-2 at the 10:16 mark.
- Tabales was then fouled on a three-point attempt as the shot clock expired. He canned all three free throws and jump-started a 28-10 run over the final 10:16 that allowed Bryant to take a 30-22 lead to halftime.
- Rudovskii swished his first three at the 9:00 mark to make it a three-point game and Tabales drilled a three to make it a one-point deficit.
- Sims would bring Bryant even at 19-19 on a long home run pass from Rudovskii.
- Valpo retook the lead on the next possession but Rudovskii answered with a three to start an 8-0 run that gave Bryant the lead.
- Sims and Jakai Robinson followed with great finishes inside before the Bulldogs collected four offensive rebounds in one possession, resulting in a Rudovskii corner three to make it 30-22.
- Valpo came out strong in the second half, holding Bryant to just two points in the first 7:30 minutes, taking a 37-32 lead at the 12:30 mark of the second half.
- Bryant was able to get a putback bucket from Weber but the Beacons forced a Bryant timeout with 10:55 left, leading 41-34.
- Valpo's strong second half stretched to a 29-11 run, giving the Beacons a 51-41 lead with 6:41 left.
- Bryant started the second half 4-of-17 from the field and 1-of-8 from three.
- Valpo would continue to stymie the Bulldogs, holding Bryant to just two field goals in a six-minute stretch late in the second half.
