SMITHFIELD, R.I. — The Bryant University women's soccer team has clinched a berth in the America East Championship, entering the tournament as the No. 6 seed and set to face UMass Lowell.

The Bulldogs earned their spot after playing to a 1-1 draw with UMass Lowell on Thursday afternoon. Bryant secured the final postseason position with help from around the league, as Maine defeated New Hampshire, 2-1, and NJIT topped UMBC, 1-0, on Thursday evening.

The Black and Gold will travel to Lowell, Massachusetts, on Sunday, Nov. 2, for a first-round matchup against the River Hawks. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
