Series History
- This will be the seventh match-up between the Bulldogs and the Black Bears. Maine leads the all-time series 6-1. This is the second time both teams will be a part of the CAA. Last season, the Black and Gold fell to Maine in Orono by a score of 38-26.
Bulldogs Notes and Notables
- Elijah Elliott had a career day last Saturday, tallying three total touchdowns, 131 all-purpose yards, and 101 yards on the ground. This was his first-ever 100-yard rushing game with the Bulldogs and second 100+ all-purpose game. Elliott leads the team with 313 rushing yards and is tied with Dylan Kedzior for the most rushing touchdowns with three.
- Lonnie Rice continued to be a force at linebacker, recording a career-high 12 tackles against Towson, which followed his previous career-high of 11 versus Campbell. Rice is 15th in the country with 37 total tackles this season.
- Michael Otty continued his streak of tackles for loss, posting one versus the Tigers. He now has 7.5 on the year and has recorded a tackle for loss in every game. He has posted 29 in his career.
- Tristen Riley and Aldrich Doe have established themselves as the number one and two receivers this year. Doe has had three games this year of five receptions and 50+ yards, including a career-high 92 yards against Campbell. Riley has recorded four games this season with five receptions and three of 50+ yards.
- The Black and Gold have been efficient in the two-minute offense, scoring in three of the last five games in the final two minutes.
- The Bulldogs' defense tallied a safety last Saturday, which was the first time since 2023 against EIU. Bryant's defense has tallied ten sacks, five interceptions, and two forced fumbles this season.
- Bryant is seeking their first CAA win in program history. Four of the Black and Gold's ten CAA games have been decided by one possession.
A bit about the Black Bears
- Maine heads into Saturday with a 1-4 record and 1-1 conference record. The Black Bears defeated North Carolina A&T last week 37-30.
- Carter Peevy threw for 302 yards and two touchdowns in the win on Saturday. This was his second multiple-touchdown game.
- Sincere Baines is fifth in the conference in rushing yards with 451. He is averaging 90.2 yards per game.
- Christian Thomas leads the way for Maine with 54 tackles and seven tackles for loss.
