Kaelynn O'Brien named to AE Preseason All-Conference Team

BOSTON, MA - Bryant University Women's Lacrosse sophomore defensewoman, Kaelynn O'Brien was selected to the America East Preseason All-Conference Team, the league announced on Wednesday afternoon. 

During her 2024 campaign, Kaelynn was named to the America East Second Team and the America East All-Rookie team, she is a strong component of Bryant's defense as she started all fifteen games and recorded the team-high in ground balls with 36 causing 25 turnovers on the season.

Kaeylnn led the America East in caused turnovers per game and was second in the conference in ground balls per game. She would also go on to record her first-ever assist as a Bulldog in a match-up against Holy Cross and finished out her season ranking third overall in draw controls with 26.

The America East also announced the Bryant Women's Lacrosse team was picked sixth in the annual Preseason Poll. Binghamton ranks at the top spot while UAlbany, UMass Lowell, UMBC, and Vermont all fall two through five with UNH falling at the seventh.

Bryant will open season play in 23 days against Sacred Heart University down in Fairfield, Connecticut.
