Ava Feeley scores first goal as Bryant athlete in 1-1 game against Sacred Heart

FAIRFEILD, CONN. - Sophomore Ava Feeley scored her first goal as the Bryant women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with Sacred Heart on Tuesday afternoon. 

Feeley gave Bryant a 1-0 lead but Sacred Heart was able to respond right before halftime to tie the score.

"Our team fought hard and played well today. We built our attacks with true consistency and created many good chances to score. On the defensive side, our communication improved from recent games, we were well connected from back to front, and we defended well in both halves of the field."

  • Sacred Heart's Rylee McGee scored off of assists from Grace O'Hara and Lyndsey Leperle to tie up the game late into the first half.

  • 41st minute - Bryant 1, Sacred Heart 1 - A pass between Grace O'Hara and Lyndsey Leperle set up Rylee McGee to send the ball past the keeper into the lower left corner of the net to get the Pioneers on the board.
