Bryant Triumphs Over NJIT In America East opener


SMITHFIELD, RI – With the help of Cristian Guirado, who scored twice, and Jose Alves Faria, who netted his first goal of the season, the Bulldogs secured a decisive victory over NJIT in their conference opener. The Bulldogs currently stand 1-0 in the America East conference.


Bryant is now 6-2-1 this season.

  • Jose Alves Faria applied insane pressure on the goalkeeper, stealing the ball inside the box and slotting it into the net easily, catching the keeper off guard and putting the Bulldogs up 2-0.
  • Cristian Guirado broke the tie late in the first half with a powerful 20-yard strike that soared past the goalkeeper's head and found the back of the net.
  • Cristian Guirado secured his second goal late in the second half, firing the ball past the goalkeeper and extending the lead to 3-0.
