ITHACA, N.Y. –
Alexa Sedicino gave the Bryant field hockey team an early lead but Cornell scored the final four goals to post a 4-1 victory over the Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon.
With the loss, the Bulldogs fall to 3-4 overall on the season. Bryant opens America East play on Friday (Sept. 27) when it hosts New Hampshire at Cowen Field.
Sedicino notched her second goal of the season on Sunday, but Bryant was outshot, 24-10, on the afternoon.

- Julia Ramsey scored just two minutes after Sedicino to tie the game and turn the momentum back in Cornell's favor.
First Quarter
- Jaedyn Scarlatos fired the ball into the circle and the redirection landed on the stick of Sedicino who was able to slot it past the goalie.
- Cornell answered quickly two minutes later. Sara DeSousa pushed the ball away with a dive but Cornell was able to resend it towards the goal and Ramsey knocked it home.
- Polly Parsons corralled a ball in the circle and fired a turnaround shot that found the back of the net.
Second Quarter
- Annabel Cheveley was the recipient of a good feed in front and finished to give Cornell a 3-1 lead.
Third Quarter
- Bryant and Cornell combined for just one penalty corner and four total shots in an evenly matched third quarter.
Fourth Quarter
- Cornell closed the scoring as Vivienne Mueller knocked home a loose ball following a goal line scrum.
