Bryant picks up first win of the season with 5-0 victory over Stonehill

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Bryant University women's soccer team racked up their first win of the season against Stonehill 5-0 on Thursday evening at Beirne Stadium.

"We started very quickly and played a very balanced game tonight. We created a lot of scoring opportunities and took those chances with great skill. We also stayed connected in defense for 90 minutes and worked hard to earn the shutout."

  • 2nd minute - Bryant 1, Stonehill 0 - Carly Warn dribbled across the top of the 18 before firing a shot over the keeper's head.

  • 14th minute - Bryant 2, Stonehill 0 - Emily Supple played a ball into space that Jordyn Collins ran on to. Collins took two dribbles before placing a right-footed shot inside the far post.

  • 18th minute - Bryant 3, Stonehill 0 - Another great ball from Bryant's back line, this time from Colleen Ardolino, sprung Hailey Koons free and Koons finished inside the right post. 

  • 69th minute - Bryant 4, Stonehill 0 - Jennah Quill tallied her first goal of the season as she slotted home a loose ball in the box. 

  • 74th minute - Bryant 5, Stonehill 0 - Finishing off the goals for the Bulldogs, Samantha Zaslaw's shot caromed off both posts and into the net.
