EAST HAVEN, CT - The Black and Gold visit Southern Connecticut to play in the Bowl For The Cure tournament. Bryant made it to the final round against the host No. 10, Sacred Heart, but ultimately fell 953-996 to finish second overall.
The Bulldogs had a strong finish to the weekend, going 1-3 in Traditional play and then 3-1 in the Baker Tournament.
Maggie Thompson led the team in total pinfall average throughout the four traditional format games with 199.25. On Saturday, Lea Whittey and Laura Clark led the way with a 20.68 and 20.35 frame average, respectively, in the Baker Tournament.
The Black and Gold improved in their tournament standings yet again and they are still searching for a first place tournament finish. As a rookie, Wittey has been stepping up and performing well for the team and is in line for back to back ECC Rookie of the week.
