Breezie Williams posted her second-straight 20-point effort to lead four in double figures as the Bryant women's basketball team earned a 67-52 victory over Yale on Black Friday at the Chace Athletic Center.
With the win, the Bulldogs extend their program-best start to the season to 7-1. Bryant closes out its three-game homestand next Saturday (Dec. 7) when it hosts Marist.
On Friday, Williams led all scorers with 23 points on 9-of-18 shooting from the field.
Maranda Nyborg added 14 points and nine boards, while
Martina Boba and
Mia Mancini each finished with 10. Bryant held Yale to just 2-of-15 from three.

- Williams turned a steal in the backcourt into a three-point play with 1:11 left in the third quarter to give the Black and Gold a 12-point cushion heading into the fourth.
How it Happened
- Bryant built an early six-point edge (12-6) before Yale cut it to two with 2:16 left in the quarter.
- Baskets from Ali Brigham and Mancini gave the Black and Gold a 16-12 lead at the end of one.
- Yale, however, would grab its only lead of the game early in the second quarter as Mackenzie Egger knocked down a shot to make it 20-18.
- It would be tied twice more in the quarter before Williams gave Bryant the lead for good with a jumper at the 2:45 mark.
- Bryant would lead, 29-25, at the break.
- Bryant would push its lead into double figures in the third quarter before a three-point play by Yale brought it to nine.
- Williams then intercepted a pass and layed it in while getting fouled for a three-point play.
- The Black and Gold would then push their lead to as many as 16 in the fourth quarter, closing out the 67-52 win.
