LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, N.J. - The Bryant University women's basketball team defeated Rider 62-54 on the road, moving to 4-0 for the first time in DI program history.

Mia Mancini recorded 21 points and hit three from deep, while fellow guard Breezie Williams poured in 18 points and hit three from beyond the arc. Nia Scott posted a ten-point and ten-rebound double-double in the victory.

How it Happened

• Rider tallied a 15-10 lead in the first five minutes before the Bulldogs countered with a 12-0 run orchestrated by two Williams three-pointers, four Scott points, and a Maranda Nyborg jumper. The Broncos scored a basket before the end of the quarter, giving the Black and Gold a 22-17 lead.
• Mancini caught fire in the first four minutes of the second quarter, scoring seven points compared to Riders four. Silvia Gonzalez added a layup of her own during the stretch to give Bryant a 12-point advantage (31-19).
• The Broncos outscored the Bulldogs 5-4 to end the first half, creating a 35-25 lead for Bryant.
• Scott converted the first basket of the third quarter (37-25) before Rider went on a 13-1 run in the next five minutes to tie the game at 38.
• Scott would hit a layup, and the Broncos made two free throws before the end of the quarter, making the game 40-40 heading into the fourth.
• Bryant tallied a 5-0 run in the first four minutes from a Mancini triple and Williams step-back jumper (45-40). Rider would counter on the next possession with a three-pointer of their own, cutting the lead to two (45-43).
