SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant field hockey team saw its season come to a close on Friday afternoon with a 5-2 loss to UC Davis at Cowen Field.
With the loss, the Bulldogs are eliminated from postseason contention and finish the year 5-13 overall and 1-5 in America East play. UC Davis earned the final spot in the postseason field with the victory.

Key Moments
- UC Davis scored twice in a three-minute span between the first and second quarter to take a 3-1 lead.
First Quarter
- Zoe Mohrman opened the scoring in the third minute as she slotted home an early penalty corner.
- Bryant was able to tie the game on a penalty corner. The initial drive from the top was stopped but Callie Caito was able to deposit the rebound.
- The Aggies grabbed the lead just over two minutes later as Liselotte Koop finished a nice individual effort. She tipped a drive from outside the circle and then corralled the rebound and finished.
Second Quarter
- Katie Kim made it 3-1 just over a minute into the second quarter as she tipped home Koop's shot on a penalty corner.
Third Quarter
- Bryant came out fast in the second half and earned a quick penalty corner. Eva Boogers finished on the back door off assists from Linde van Leeuwen and Claire Joss.
- Jordan Anaya dribbled along the end line and then slipped a shot home to make it 4-2 just seven minutes later.
Fourth Quarter
- Koop put the game away as she converted a stroke.
Bryant Notes and Notables
- Bryant finishes the year 5-13 overall and 1-5 in America East play.
- Boogers finished her freshman season with a team-leading 17 points (5g, 7a). The 17 points are the second most by a freshman in DI program history.
- Caito collected her fourth goal of the season in the contest. She closed the year seven points in the final six games to finish with 12 points on the year.
- Joss picked up her first collegiate point in the game.
- Abby Crowley and Caitlin Gallagher both played their final game in the Black and Gold.
