Volleyball travels to Vestal for conference clash with Binghamton

SMITHFIELD, R.I.- The Bryant women's volleyball heads back on the road this weekend as they will face off against  Binghamton University for their first road conference game of the season. First serve in Vestal is set for Sunday at 1:00 pm.

Inside the Series
This is the 11th all-time meeting between the Bulldogs and the Bearcats. Last season the two teams split the season series as both defended their home court. Bryant will look to earn their first win at the Division I in Vestal this weekend. Since joining the America East, the Bulldogs are 0-2 on the road when facing Binghamton. 
Bulldog Notes and Notables
  • Carrina Barron was named the Week 5 America East Defensive Specialist of the Week. Barron averaged a conference-best 5.5 digs/set & added 5 service aces in a 3-0 week. She also currently leads the conference in digs with 275 (4.10/s)
  • Aubrey LaPour recorded a four set career high 23 kills against Dartmouth last Saturday. She currently ranks second in total kills with 235 (3.51 k/s).
  • Carolina Camacho posted a career high 36 assists against Dartmouth last week.
  • Arianna Ugolini remains atop the conference leaderboard for most service aces this year with 31 (0.55 sa/s). She is also fourth in total kills with 181
  • London Hunt is third in the conference for hitting percentage (.318)
Scouting the Bearcats
  • Binghamton enters Sunday at 11-6 and are currently 1-1 in conference play. The Bearcats opened conference play with a three set victory over UAlbany. In their most recent contest against UMBC, they would fall in straight sets.
  • Tsvetelina Ilieva earned Player of the Week honors from the America East on October 1st after she averaged a league-best 6.2 kills/set at a .382 clip in a 3-0 week. In the team's conference opener against UAlbany, she would finish with 16 kills and 13 digs.
  •  Bearcat setter, Lottie Scully, took home Setter of the Week honors after averaging a league-high 11.7 assists and also contributed 2.8 digs per set. Against UAlbany she would finish with 38 assists (12.7/set).
  • Viktoria Dimitrova would receive America East Rookie of the Week honors after averaging 3.0 kills per set and hit .517 across three matches.
  • The Bearcats are coached by Allie Yaeger, she is in her third season in Vestal.
