THE SERIES
Bryant and Binghamton split their season series in 2022-23, with the home team winning each contest. The Bulldogs pulled out a victory behind 29 points from Sherif Gross-Bullock on New Year's Eve, while Binghamton ran to an 84-67 victory in late January. Bryant and Binghamton have split four DI meetings.

YEAR TWO OF AMERICA EAST
Bryant began its second season in the America East last Saturday with an 81-67 win over UMBC. The Bulldogs finished 8-8 in regular season play last season, finishing sixth in the standings. Bryant lost a quarterfinal game at third-seeded New Hampshire. Prior to this season, Sherif Gross-Bullock and Earl Timberlake were named to the Preseason All-America East team.

NATIONAL RANKINGS
Bryant enters Sunday ranked second nationally with 6.6 blocks per game and 31st nationally in field goal percentage defense (39.2 percent). Bryant also ranks 21st nationally in three-point field goals per game (9.9).

GOOD GRIEF, REEF
Sherif Gross-Bullock became just the third player in DI program history to record 40 points in a game when he scored a career-high 41 last Saturday at UMBC. The total is tied for the most in a single game this season in NCAA DI. SGB finished 16-of-24 from the field, joining Charles Pride (44) and Alex Francis (43) as the only three players to reach 40+. SGB has now scored 41 and 39 in his two career games at UMBC.

FIVE MORE THINGS TO KNOW

  1. SGB was named the America East Player of the Week on Monday following his big effort at UMBC. He has now recorded three-straight 20-point efforts and leads the team with 19.1 ppg. SGB is shooting 55 percent from three in the last three games.
  2. Timberlake enters Saturday with one of the league's best overall stat lines, averaging 12.9 ppg, 8.8 rpg, 4.6 apg, 1.5 bpg and 1.3 spg. He's one of just three players nationally averaging 12.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg and 4.5 apg, and is the only player to average at least 8.0 rpg, 4.0 apg, 1.0 spg and 1.0 bpg. In fact, Timberlake is just the fourth player in the last 10 years to post that type of average.
  3. Daniel Rivera posted his first double-double at the Division I level against UMBC. He finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Rivera also blocked four shots and ranks 23rd nationally with 2.19 bpg.
  4. Rafael Pinzon is third on the team with 12.6 ppg. He is shooting 38 percent from three and 79 percent from the line.
  5. Bryant has three players averaging over 1.0 bpg on the season. Daniel Rivera (1st), Earl Timberlake (5th) and Connor Withers (6th) all rank in the top 10.
