THE SERIES
Bryant and Mount St. Mary's meet for the second time this season on Saturday. The Bulldogs defeated the Mountaineers, 73-66, on Jan. 15 in Smithfield. Adham Eleeda hit eight threes and finished with a career-high 26 points in the game. Mount St. Mary's owns a 16-10 lead in the all-time series and is 10-2 against Bryant at Knott Arena.
FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
- Bryant is now 10-1 in NEC play following Thursday's 89-82 victory at Saint Francis U. The Bulldogs have won seven-straight games and are 10-1 in league play for the first time in program history.
- Charles Pride set the Bryant Division I single-game scoring record with 44 points at SFU on Thursday. He finished 16-of-26 from the field and 11-of-11 from the free throw line. The 44 points are the second-most in an NCAA game this year and the most in a regulation NEC game since 2013.
- Pride enters Saturday with 890 career points, needing just 10 to become only the third player in DI program history (Alex Francis, Corey Maynard) to have 900+ points and 400+ rebounds in a career.
- Adham Eleeda has made at least three 3s in 10 of his last 12 games. He leads the league and ranks 26th nationally with 3.15 3s/game. Eleeda is averaging 3.8 3s/game in NEC play.
- Greg Calixte has started each of the last two games and is averaging 8.5 ppg and 10.5 rpg in those contests. He finished with nine points and 10 rebounds on Thursday night.
