THE SERIES
Friday's game will be a rematch of last year's NEC Semifinal, won by Bryant, 85-55. The Bulldogs were playing with just seven available players due to COVID-19 protocols but posted the largest margin of victory in DI program history. Sacred Heart, however, owns a 19-7 lead in the DI series, winning nine of the last 11 meetings.
FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
- Bryant opened NEC play with a 80-76 victory over Central Connecticut on Wednesday night. The Bulldogs received 25 points from Hall Elisias and a combined 23 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists from Peter Kiss and Charles Pride.
- Elisias set a career-high Wednesday with his 25 points and added 10 rebounds to post his first double-double of the season. He also blocked five shots and now ranks third nationally in blocks per game.
- Charles Pride leads Bryant and the NEC with four double-doubles on the year following an 11-point, 12-rebound effort at Central Connecticut. Pride has 390 career rebounds and is averaging a career-high 7.7 this year, third-most in the NEC.
- Friday's matchup will also feature the NECs top two scorers in SHU's Tyler Thomas and Bryant's Peter Kiss. Kiss is second in the league with 18.6 ppg, while Thomas paces the circuit with 18.9 ppg.
- Adham Eleeda is on a roll over the last three games, hitting 15-of-29 from distance while averaging 15.0 points a night. He ranks 69th nationally with 2.75 3s/game.
