BRYANT FIELD HOCKEY DROPS OPENER TO MAINE 4-0
HEMPSTEAD,NY - Maine scored three first half goals en route to a
4-0 win over Bryant University in women's field hockey action
Sunday afternoon at Hofstra University. Maine's Jocelyn
Mitchell scored the Black Bears' first two goals, the first coming
just five minutes into the contest. Mitchell's second came 25
minutes later, scoring off a rebound from a penalty corner.
Maine (1-1) would lead 3-0 at the half and round out the scoring
10 minutes into the second. Maine out-shot the Bulldogs 27 to
four in the game and had 18 penalty corners. Kundayi Mawema
made six saves in net for the Bulldogs who face Hofstra Monday at 1
pm.
