SMITHFIELD, RI -   (9/15/06) Senior Vanessa Lavallee (Gilford, NH) and junior Likica Grceva (Natick, MA) each had 11 kills while freshman Morgan Wood (Cedar Park, Texas) had 10 kills in leading Bryant University to a 3-0 win over the University of Bridgeport Friday night.  The win was the second of the evening as Bryant defeated Stonehill 3-0 in the first match of the evening. 

The win over Bridgeport was No. 300 for 11th-year coach Theresa Garlacy, native of Smithfield and 1988 graduate of Providence College. Game scores were 30-15, 30-24, 30-25.  Bridgeport's Jessica Bornack led all scorers with 13 kills on 30 swings. 

Against Stonehill, senior Jessica Cegarra (Danville, NH) notched 13 kills and had just two errors on 23 attempts (.478 percent) in leading the Bryant women's volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Stonehill College.  Game scores were 30-22, 30-21, 30-21.  Lavallee and Wood each added eight kills while junior Tiffany Garry (Frankfort, IL) finished with 23 assists.   Garry, the two-time Northeast-10 Conference Setter of the Year added 32 more assists in the Bridgeport win plus four service aces. 

Bryant hits the road for nine-straight matches starting Tuesday at UMass Lowell.
