Worcester, Mass.-  Mike Gargiulo (North Branford, Conn.) scored twice, while Bryan Gravel (Londonderry, NH) added a goal and an assist as the Bryant Men's Soccer team defeated Assumption in its Northeast-10 Conference opener 4-1.

Kyle Tierney (Westborough, Mass.) also scored for the Bulldogs (2-0, 1-0 NE-10). Thomas Madden (Saco, ME) stopped one shot to improve his record to 2-0.

Tierney had the lone goal in the first half, but the Greyhounds tied it in the 49^th minute behind the kick of Peter Meyer.

Gargiulo came right back, taking a feed from Gravel, and finding the back of the net just 21 seconds later.  Gravel then made it a 3-1 game six minutes later with Nick Balistierri (Glastonberry, Conn.) picking up the assist. Gargiulo added more insurance in the 86^th minute, with Matthew Brown (South Easton, Mass.) getting the assist.

In two games, Gravel leads the Bulldogs with three goals and two assists.

The Bulldogs return home for their home opener against St. Michael's Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Bryant Turf Complex.
