Field Hockey Falls to Franklin Pierce

Field Hockey team lost in the final moments to Franklin Pierce
Thursday night 2-1 at Rindge, N.H.
Shana Libman (Attleboro, Mass.) scored the
game's first goal at 10:17, grabbing a rebound off Raven goaltender
Amanda Pietraszuk and putting it in the net for her sixth of the
season.
Franklin Pierce tied the game with five minute to go in the
game, as Ashley Abernathy scored off a penalty corner. Angela
Barone and Stephanie Howard earned the assists.
The Ravens pulled ahead with four minutes to play as Kayleigh
Jaksina put away another corner shot, blasting a shot past
Kundayi Mawema (Hare, Zimbabwe).
Mawema stopped seven shots in the loss.
Libman led the Bulldogs with five shots on net, while
Laynie Sadler (Rehoboth, Mass.) added two shots
that were stopped by Pietraszuk.
Bryant (10-9, 8-7 NE-10) concludes its regular season Saturday
at AIC (noon), as they prepare for the Northeast-10 Tournament.
