Bulldogs win fourth straight; get first conference
win

RI - The Bryant University women's
basketball team returned to Northeast-10 action on Monday night and
started the New Year the way they finished 2005. The Bulldogs won
their fourth straight game and first NE-10 conference game with a
73-64 victory over Assumption College. Bryant improves to 6-5
overall and 1-5 in conference play. Assumption drops to 6-6 overall
and 2-5 in the NE-10.
Shannon Perry (Providence, RI) scored the last
nine points for the Bulldogs all coming on free throws to help life
Bryant to the 73-64 win. She went 12-15 from the charity stripe and
totaled 20 points with 13 rebounds. In her only three games this
season she is averaging a gaudy 17 points and 12 rebounds in 27
minutes of play.
Junior Joanna Skiba (Providence, RI) had a game
high 23 points in the game with four assists. This was her fourth
game of the season with 20 or more points. Junior guard
Erin Murphy (Albany, NY) contributed 13 points on
5-9 shooting with three three-pointers and five rebounds.
The Greyhounds had solid offense from sophomore Megan
Urban (Portland, ME) who poured in 18 points on 9-14
shooting and senior guard Kerry Milhaven (Wantagh,
NY) who also had 18 points. Sophomore standout Charde Floyd
(Worcester, MA) grabbed 11 rebounds to go along with her nine
points.
Bryant University will travel to NE-10 rival Bentley on Thursday
with a tip time of 5:30pm.
